Dr. V. Antoine Keller is a highly respected cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon with a distinguished career in advanced cardiovascular and thoracic procedures. He currently serves as the Chief of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at Ochsner Lafayette General Hospital. In addition, he holds an academic appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Louisiana State University School of Medicine.
Dr. Keller earned his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine and completed his general surgery residency and research fellowship at Tulane School of Medicine, followed by a fellowship in Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery at Carolinas Medical Center. He is board-certified in Thoracic Surgery and has served in various leadership roles, including Chief of Surgery at multiple institutions.
Throughout his career, Dr. Keller has been extensively involved in clinical research, serving as Principal Investigator in numerous groundbreaking cardiovascular studies. He has published widely in peer-reviewed journals and has presented at national and international conferences. His research interests include cardiac surgery innovations, endovascular surgery, and disparities in cardiovascular healthcare.
