Dr. Jherie Ducombs, MD

Dr. Jherie Ducombs is a highly experienced cardiologist and Assistant Chief Medical Officer at North Oaks Health System. She has been an integral part of the cardiology staff since 2004 and has served in various leadership roles, including Co-Director of the Heart Health Center and Chairman of the Network Operations Council. Dr. Ducombs completed her medical degree at Louisiana State University School of Medicine, followed by a residency in Internal Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina and a Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch.

Dr. Ducombs is board-certified in cardiology and has extensive experience in managing complex cardiovascular conditions. She is actively involved in research and has presented at numerous conferences, with publications on topics such as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and racial differences in breast fibrosis after breast conservation therapy.

In addition to her clinical and administrative roles, Dr. Ducombs is a dedicated member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association. She has received multiple awards for her contributions to medicine, including the North Oaks Health System Continued Excellence Award and the New Orleans Go Red for Women Women in Medicine Honoree.
